On Thursday 5th at 7PM we start the first of our series "Ultimate Questions" - answering key questions about Christianity.
This series is designed for those who do not attend Church to find out more about what Church is, what the Bible teaches, and how Christians respond to current events.
Perhaps you don't attend Church, and want to know where to start, consider coming along as a light introduction to Christianity.
A warm welcome awaits you - With refreshments served!
We will be running this series every Thursday between 5th March and 2nd April, all at 7PM.
At Mayfield Baptist Chapel, South Street, Mayfield, TN20 6DA

It was great to welcome over 80 people from the village to our evangelistic event, kicking off the new work at Mayfield Baptist Chapel on Saturday 28th February.

Interviewed by Barry King from the Grace Baptist Partnership, Gavin Peacock gave his testimony and shared his life story from professional footballer player to Pastor.

This event marked the beginning of a new work at Mayfield Baptist Chapel after the closure of the Church in September last year - meaning our 150+ year history will continue!
A group of Christians has been meeting here in Mayfield since possibly as early as 1801; we seek to glorify God and make Him known to others. We are an evangelical Church which means we believe in the importance of following The Bible - God's words to us - as our only rule and practice, both in life, and in Church.
We believe that Jesus - a real man, and God's son - was sent to the earth and died on the cross to pay the punishment for our sin, He took the punishment that we deserved as sinners against God, having Himself lived a perfect life, and then rose again on the third day, conquering death and sin.
All people are in need of salvation; salvation is God's free gift in Christ Jesus and cannot be earnt by good works, but is found only by trusting in Christ's death on the cross for the forgiveness of sin. A person's salvation (called 'conversion') will be evidenced by an outward reformation, that is, a life lived consistent with God’s word, The Bible.
Our beliefs are summarised in more detail in The 1689 Baptist Confession of Faith.
Parking: There is a car park on South Street at TN20 6DD - just a few hundred yards away. There is also limited on street parking available.
