About Mbc

Mayfield Baptist Chapel is an independent church meeting in Wealden, East Sussex for over 150 years

We believe that the only way to God is by His grace in calling sinners to faith and repentance through the Lord Jesus Christ.

Jesus, God's son, was sent to the world to be righteous, and live a perfect life. He was thus the only suitable sacrifice and, in perfect obedience, submitted to God the Father's will by being Crucified on the cross at Calvary; He rose again from the dead on the third day, conquering Sin and death.

Salvation is by God's Grace alone and cannot be achieved by any works that we may do.

We believe in one God - Father, Son and Holy Spirit - who loves us, His children.

We also believe that God is a God of Justice, and those who reject the salvation He offers will one day face Him as their Judge.

We are an independent church, but as Baptists we affirm The 1689 Baptist Confession of Faith.
